In partnership with local veterinary clinics we host weekly wellness clinics at the Prince George Humane Society.

This collaboration extends its embrace not only to the public but also to the cherished animals within the shelter. These clinics stand as a beacon of accessible care, offering a vital lifeline of health and well-being to both our fellow community members and the shelter's beloved furry residents.

Through this partnership, we're bridging the gap between compassionate Veterinary Services and those in need, creating a haven of wellness for animals and their human companions alike.

The Prince George Humane Society offers furry fun-filled parties with tons of interactions with animals of all kinds, behind the scenes tour, activities, a hot dog lunch, snacks, fruit and veggies and a goodie bag for each kid. Birthday parties are perfect for children that love animals.

​Birthday parties are two hours in length and suitable for animal lovers between the ages of 4 and 12 years. The price of a birthday party is $300. The cost of the party includes a maximum of 12 children. We cannot always guarantee that dogs and puppies will be at the shelter. You are welcome to call us before the party to see what animals we will have on the day of the Birthday. Requests can be made for other small animals but we cannot guarantee that they will be available.​

A $100 deposit needs to be paid within 48 hours of the booking confirmation to secure the date. Birthday parties not cancelled within 24 hours will result in the loss of the deposit. If you have any questions pertaining our Birthday Party Request Form, please email us at info@pghumanesociety.ca.

And guess what? All of this goodness comes packed with loads of laughter, learning, and love for our furry, feathered, and scaly friends. Now, let's talk numbers. It's just $250 per child for the entire week of action-packed awesomeness.

Plus, we've got some delicious and healthy snacks lined up to keep those energy levels soaring. So, how do you secure a spot for your kiddo? Simple – just lock in your booking and pay the fee. Swing by our location to make it happen.

This unique reading program helps both kids and animals deal with their respective challenges. Children in the program learn empathy towards animals while practicing their reading skills in an encouraging environment.

There is a benefit to the child in that they have somebody who is listening to them read without any judgment or criticism.

The cats and dogs are learning social skills that will help them get adopted, and the child is learning to care about animals.
